Poundbury, England
In 1988 Prince Charles of England commissioned Leon Krier to draw the "Masterplan" for Poundbury, a new city annexed to the west of Dorchester in England.
Léon Krier developed a project for a mixed development comprising 2,500 homes and 2,000 jobs on 100 hectares of land, with another 60 hectares reserved for landscaping.
Designed to be carried out in 4 phases over a period of 30 years, the construction of the first phase was carried out from 1993 to 2002, and Léon Krier invited me to assist him in the rest of the project in 2003.
