Parish Church in Clemency

Project by Mulhern & Steil, the first in a series of projects for the Commune of Clemency. A collaboration of more than 20 years until its merger with the Commune of Bascharage at the end of 2011.

Studies and authorizations for the restoration of the church lasted nearly 5 years, and work began in 1994. With a small budget, we were forced to carry out the project without replacing the floor tiles in the nave, which had been done in the 60s.

The main thing in a project of this nature is the respect of the original and the good quality of the things that have been added since its construction in the 18th century. We planned each intervention in the style of the building itself, without trying to mark it with the imprint of the time in which we live.
